RACE 4 LIFE — Moving Forward Together

Race 4 Life is a proposed community activity strand that could include sponsored walks, suitable group challenges and cancer-awareness fundraising.
Activities should be inclusive and adapted to participants’ abilities. Organisers would need to confirm routes, permissions, risk assessments, safety arrangements and any charitable recipient before promoting an event.
The name and any connection with an existing event or charity must be checked. No affiliation should be implied without permission.
Our purpose is to encourage people to participate, connect and support a clearly identified cause responsibly.
SAFEGUARDING — Children Come First
The safety and wellbeing of children must guide every activity.
Any programme involving children requires appropriate safeguarding procedures, suitable supervision, clear responsibilities, risk assessments and arrangements for responding to concerns.
Parents or carers must receive relevant information and provide consent where required. Children’s dignity, privacy, accessibility and individual needs must be respected.
Photographs, online participation, travel arrangements and the sharing of personal stories require particular care.
No child should be pressured to fundraise, discuss family illness or disclose private information. Activities must be inclusive and designed around children’s welfare rather than promotional objectives.
